Murder accused to walk free

Odirile Seiketso, an accused person in a case in which a nurse, Rejoice Kaketso, was killed on her way from work to her house in Phase IV last August, is a free man.

The prosecutor in the case, Khumoetsile Tirelo has submitted that investigations are complete and they do not have enough evidence to try Seiketso. He however noted that the other two accused persons in the matter, Emmanuel Xolane and Moagisi Mosepele, will be committed before the High Court at their next mention on January 16th.

Tirelo said they could not commit the duo yesterday because the director of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions has not yet signed the requisite documents - which will also withdraw Seiketso from the charges. She also told the court that they will serve the two accused persons with the summary of statements.
