Murder-accused cop attacks journos

A murder suspect, Tirafalo Benni Motswasele (30), caused a spectacle when he attacked media personnel at the Broadhurst Magistrates Court when he appeared for mention yesterday.

Walking with a hitch occasioned by leg irons, Motswasele, a former police officer at Broadhurst Police Station, charged at photojournalists who were trying to photograph him, choice words tossing out of his mouth in the process.

Motswasele is charged with a single count of murder, contrary to Section 202 of the Penal Code CAP 08;01 of the Laws of Botswana.
