Mukokomani wants to quit politics

SELEBI-PHIKWE: After a lot of soul searching, Phase II councillor Lekang Mukokomani has resolved to quit politics in 2014.

The Selebi Phikwe East civic leader, who is also former mayor of the copper mining town, said this week in an interview that he has discussed the decision with fellow Botswana Congress Party (BCP) councillors and is now left with informing the electorate.

He said that he has realised that politics in Botswana is not taking the country anywhere. He noted that he is especially disappointed with opposition parties. He pointed out that the opposition is disorganised, adding that it cannot rule this country in the near future.
