MPs Trash Increased Special Election

Most of the MPs who spoke on Friday opposed Mahalapye East member, Botlogile Tshireletso's motion calling for the amendment of the constitution to increase the number of specially elected MPs from four to eight.

The MP for Letlhakeng West, Filbert Nagafela, said women should contest for parliamentary seats just like everyone else. He said women should campaign to gain a ticket to parliament.

He said women are multi-talented and they should utilise such skills to market themeselves.
