Motswaledi's absence disappoints BCP

SEROWE: Efforts by Botswana Congress Party to have Botswana Movement for Democracy interim Chairman, Gomolemo Motswaledi, to address their political rally in Serowe hit a snag as he failed to turn up.

Members of the opposition and scores from the ruling party attended the rally on the eve of the new year in anticipation.  It would have been the first time for the BMD Doyen to address a BCP rally in Serowe.  

His failure to turn up was despite the fact that the announcement about his attendance dominated the public addresses the previous day and in the morning prior to the commencement of the rally that was held at the Serowe Bus Rank.
