Motorists cry as fuel price hikes bite

The recent fuel price increases, the third this year, have triggered a rise in the prices of foodstuffs like milk and cooking oil.

Now just two weeks after fuel prices were raised, motorists are crying because the increases are taking their toll.

But given the changed environment, some frugal motorists like Leepile Mokibe from Tlokweng, have resorted to leaving their vehicles at home and taking combis to work. Mokibe told Mmegi in an interview yesterday that the hike in fuel prices has forced him to use public transport.
