According to Deputy Divisional Traffic Officer South Central, Boiki Mojalemotho, the incident occurred early morning on June 3. He said the motorist hit a man who was strolling alongside the road and fled the scene.
“The driver failed to stop at the scene. We're still looking for the driver because there were witnesses to the accident,” he added. As a result, Mojalemotho asked the driver to hand himself or herself to the police.

Mojalemotho revealed that the driver of the Toyota Swift struck a 25-year-old pedestrian who was crossing the road from north to south. He said the woman sustained a broken leg and is still receiving treatment at Princess Marina Referral Hospital.
