Mothei debunks elections, councillors shocked

Following the selection of the mayor and committees last month, councillors failed to sit for the first planning committee meeting yesterday after it emerged that some names endorsed by the council committee were missing. City Mayor, Harry Mothei, is alleged to have overruled a council decision following the elections of the committees.

Former deputy mayor, Dube stated that he was shocked to learn that Mothei had tampered with the names indorsed by council.
