Moswaane, Gopolang bite the dust

FRANCISTOWN: Former Francistown mayor Ignatius Moswaane suffered a major blow during the re-run of the Botswana Democratic Party primary elections on Saturday.

The Monarch South councilor will not defend his seat on the ruling party ticket after he was thrashed by nominated councillor, Baboni Mosalagae in the re-run.

The controversial Moswaane got 266 votes to Mosalage's 307. Another challenger Laedza Maguswi had a paltry 82 votes.
