Morwaeng To Succeed DK?

As expected, the relocation of political activist Kabo Morwaeng from Molepolole North to Molepolole South constituency has caused ripples in the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

Already accusing fingers are pointing at cabinet minister and ex-BDP secretary general Daniel 'DK' Kwelagobe of scheming to hand over the seat to Morwaeng when he retires. It is said Kwelagobe who is the area MP and the constituency committee are planning to block Shima Monageng from contesting the constituency.

After suffering a major defeat to Kwelagobe in the last BDP primaries for the 2004 general elections, Monageng is the leading candidate to take over when the veteran politician leaves the stage.
