Moribame to leave UB after 14 yrs

University of Botswana (UB) Director of Public Affairs Samuel Moribame, will be leaving his employment with the university sometimes this year.

Moribame confirmed this in an interview with Mmegi yesterday. "Yes, I will be leaving the university service later this year. Late last year I met with the Vice Chancellor (Bojosi Otlhogile) to alert him that I might not be seeking a renewal of my contract when it expires this year. I followed this up with a letter to that effect this month so that management can begin the process of recruiting a successor.

"I will be leaving the University a very happy and contented person having contributed enormously to the overall development of the university especially in terms of marketing and reputation management in the last 14 years. I feel I have done my part, helping to grow the institution to greater heights as a reputable university, which does not play second fiddle to any other."
