Moinami to represent BDP in Pilikwe elections

MAAPE: Gadialala Moinami has been nominated to represent the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) at the forthcoming by-elections in Pilikwe ward.

 Moinami who hails from the village of Maape beat fellow contestants Paul Otaata, Kooletile Baleseng, Kgomo Mosiakgabo, Johan Rakumako and Bame Sesa during the primary elections held in the ward last weekend, garnering 290 votes. He was followed by Otaata of Mhalapitsa and Mosiakgabo who got 143 and 124 votes respectively.

In an interview shortly after his nomination Moinami said he was ready to work with his party members in order to beat opposition parties in the area.
