Mogae hails book on fight against graft

Corruption is not like any kind of war where you can come back and say I have defeated it, says former president Festus Mogae.

Speaking at the launch of Transparency, Accountability and Corruption in Botswana, a book edited by University of Botswana (UB) political scientist Dr Zibani Maundeni, he said corruption is part of human nature but needs to be uprooted.

He added that it is important for governments to have oversight institutions to guard against corruption and make government officers accountable.
