MoFAIC advised to find better lawyer

The Attorney General, Attaliah Molokomme, has advised the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations to change their lawyer, as he is "not helpful" in cases the ministry is handling, it has been revealed.  Part of a letter from the AG, dated 20 December 2011, was yesterday read out at the Public Accounts Committee examination of the ministry. Despite this advice, the permanent secretary in the ministry Lapologang Lekoa said they are still using the same lawyer.

Lekoa said they will consult further to determine whether the lawyer is useful to government. He added that it is not too late to terminate services with the lawyer if he is deemed "unhelpful."
