Mochudi Wholesalers has taken the Kgatleng District Council to court for refusing to grant them a certificate of occupation. Court hearing has been set for May 19.

This is in respect of a three storey shopping complex built by Mochudi Wholesalers in 2003.  Since the council has insisted that the company contravened building regulations, the complex has never been occupied turning it into a white elephant.

The council has also found that the building encroaches onto a road reserve. In the application to the High Court, the  company claims that at all material times when the building was erected, it did not encroach onto the road reserve of the Mochudi/Pilane road.
