'Mobile population prone to HIV/AIDS infections'

FRANCISTOWN: Transport and Communication Minister Frank Ramsden has said that the mobile part of the population is highly vulnerable to HIV/AIDS infections.

Ramsden said this is particularly so because individuals who are always travelling come into contact with in different people and in places. Minister Ramsden was speaking at a Mobile Population Official Project Launch held in Blue Town location in Francistown on Monday.

The project was a partnership between the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Tebelopele and National AIDS Coordinating Agency (NACA). Their objectives include creating awareness especially among people who are constantly travelling, as they are among the most vulnerable to HIV infection.
