Moathodi, who is also the deputy speaker of the National Assembly, was speaking at the Ministry of Education and Skills Development's Central Region excellence award ceremony that was held at the Tonota Bus Rank recently.Moathodi said teachers hold special places in the lives of every human being in the global village."As a people of the African continent, we are able to communicate with each other and with other people in other continents because teachers of this world at one stage or another ably inculcated in us the desire to read and write," said Moathodi.
Moathodi reminded teachers to believe in themselves because they made it possible for all people; even those serving in highly placed positions. Today's event confirms your commitment to your work," he said. Moathodi also reserved special mention in his speech for the teachers' organisations that converged in Francistown a few years ago resolved to donate a house to a family of 17 orphans at Semotswane village.
