Roused from sleep by a sexual act thinking it’s her lover, a 23-year-old woman got the shock of her life after realising that the man on top of her is her sister’s boyfriend and not her partner.

A 22-year-old man from Mmapitse ward, Malatswae is in police custody facing a charge of rape after he was reported to the police for allegedly taking liberties with his girlfriend’s sister. Was it a case of mistaken identity or rape? The bizarre incident which has divided the siblings is being investigated as a case of rape by the Serowe police.

The Monitor is informed that after a scuffle with her boyfriend at a local bar, the furious woman left her lover and headed home. After a few hours of deep sleep, she was woken up by sexual activity, but to her surprise, as she came to consciousness the man on top of her was not her boyfriend. As investigations into the incident commence, the police are to determine whether the sexual act was a case of mistaken identity or whether the sister’s boyfriend had set out to sexually assault the complainant.
