Miss Botswana chooses hand-woven basket as miss world gift

Karabo Sampson, the Miss Botswana queen, has chosen a beautifully packaged hand-woven Okavango basket over a sparkling Jwaneng diamond, as her national gift to the Miss World finals in London.

The last two Miss Botswana queens, including Miss Universe queens, chose diamonds, the backbone of Botswana's economy, as their national gifts to the international stage.
