Ministry to postpone or fast forward exams?

FRANCISTOWN: The Minister of Education and Skills and Development (MOE) Jacob Nkate says that the ministry is looking into ways of avoiding a clash between the official general elections date and Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations (BGCSE).

President Ian Khama last week set October 16 as the Election Day and declared it a public holiday. On going BGCSE exams were overlooked but Nkate says that the ministry has taken note of that mistake and it would be resolved.

"We are aware of the situation. The matter was brought to my attention on Monday," he said.
