Minister Mokaila nominated for tourism award

The Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism (MEWT) has announced that its minister, Onkokame Kitso Mokaila has been nominated for the Ai Tourism Investor Awards in the 'African Tourism Minister of the Year' category.

The award ceremony takes place on 25 February 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Johannesburg, South Africa.

Botswana has been specifically selected by the Africa Investor Tourism Awards secretariat as a highly regarded international leader in the global Tourism industry. The tourism investor awards are designed to showcase Africa's opportunities and achievements to the rest of the world, collectively raise awareness about Africa as a tourist destination and reward those groups developing the African tourism industry as a vehicle to drive sustainable economic growth.
