FRANCISTOWN: In a tragic incident currently under investigation, a 41-year-old man from Hubona brutally killed his 39-year-old wife using an axe and then took his own life in their living room.

The tragic incident happened in Selebi-Phikwe. Acting station commander in Selebi-Phikwe, Assistant Superintendent Bontle Morekisi confirmed the harrowing incident, stating that it occurred on a Wednesday afternoon at Orlando location.

She explained that they became aware of the situation when the 41-year-old man's family received a distressing call from him, revealing his disturbing intentions to harm his wife and take his own life.
