Ambassador Earl Miller will visit a small grant sites this week. The media is invited to cover this visit showcasing one of the success stories of the U.S. Embassy’s self-help programs.

On Thursday, May 11 at 10am, Ambassador Miller will tour the Gabane Community Home Based Care’s (GCHBC) preschool in Gabane. GCHBC is a community organisation which was established in 1997 to provide home care to people living with AIDS.

The organisation has since evolved to support a wide range of population groups affected by the disease. One of GCHBC’s programmes is a preschool in which half of the children pay school fees to support the facility and the other half are orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs).
