Methodist Church hosts colourful robing ceremony

Last week, 34 new members were initiated into a life of prayer and charity, amidst a festive occasion at the Methodist Church in Gaborone.

The initiation started as early as 5am at the Broadhurst church, where the women met with the elderly members entrusted to instruct them on how they are expected to conduct themselves in their new devotions.

The Methodist Church's robing process is a symbol of devotion and commitment by new members who will join the 600 member strong praying and charity group of women, called the Women's Manyano.
