Limkokwing University has lost one of its pioneer staff members, Mercy Thebe who has served the university for the past 16 years.

She held the position of the Director Communications & PR. Thebe resigned from her post earlier this month and her last day will be May 31st 2023. Thebe, a Limkokwing University Malaysia alumnus, joined the institution in 2007, after graduating from Limkokwing Malaysia.

A Press Release from the University states; Thebe is “one of the pioneer staff members who played a critical role in the establishment of the University in Botswana working directly under the leadership and mentorship of the late founder president Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato Sri Limkokwing. “ “As Director, Comms & PR for Limkokwing Botswana Thebe displayed admirable and proven competencies and skills in the public affairs and media sector. The University is thankful for Thebe’s commitment and dedication that has helped to establish Botswana’s first creative university which continues producing industry ready graduates that are set to become contributors and drivers of the new economy.”
