Merafhe signs agreement on French

Botswana and France have recently signed the Cooperation Outline Agreement for the teaching of French Language in Botswana.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Lieutenant General Mompati Merafhe and Alain Joyandet, the French Minister for State Cooperation and Francophony.

Commenting on the signing of the event, Merafhe said, "French is undeniably one of the major languages spoken worldwide and as such, we have recognised the importance of including it in our school curriculum," Merafhe said.
