Mentally ill man arrested for rape

Kago Keorapetse, 25, is alleged to have sexually assaulted the victim on May 28 at Block 10 in Gaborone. He was arrested by the Sir Seretse Khama Airport police. He appeared before Village Magistrate, Ephraith Ndengwa, for arraignment on Thursday.

Police Prosecutor Sergeant Peter Bachinyi of the SSKA Police told the court that his plea should be reserved. He stated that investigations into the case were still at an initial stage. He said the accused was a patient at a local psychiatric clinic.
