*Was cheated in divorce settlement
*Attorneys say she should have been represented during divorce
*Someone should be appointed to manage her property

Thirty-nine year old Boitumelo Esau, who fell mentally ill in 2003 is yet to taste justice after she was cheated in a divorce settlement when her family took all her property. Although she had prodeo counsel, this mother of three emerged from the divorce court without a curator in 2005.

To-date Boitumelo is not happy with the way the divorce was handled and feels cheated. This is especially so because the agreement that her former husband and his lawyer drew and insisted that she sign was given to her soon after she came out of mental hospital and she had debts to settle. She had already lost her job as a senior counselling teacher at Tlokweng Community Junior Secondary School because of her ill health. She is still weighed down by debts that come to nearly P163,000.
