Meet UB's brightest student

Mbakile Prince Seabe was honoured by the University of Botswana (UB) last Saturday for having consistently demonstrated outstanding academic performance and leadership qualities throughout his studies at the university.

The 23-year old who hails from Mosu Village in the Boteti Sub-district pursued his Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree in the Faculty of Social Sciences and graduated with a cumulative grade point average of 4.9.

Giving his valedictorian appreciation speech at the graduation ceremony at UB stadium, Seabe said graduates should consider themselves privileged to have a government that pays for their education and provides a very comfortable and conducive student life, "making learning a thrilling experience", especially that "this does not occur in many countries".
