Medical Students For Australia

The first group of Botswana students to be sponsored to study medicine by the Australian government were bade farewell last Friday at a ceremony at the Gaborone Sun.

The Pretoria-based Australian High Commissioner to Botswana, Philip Green, advised the students to come back at the end of their study to invest their skills in the economy. He assured the students that they would have a pleasant experience in Australia.

Foreign Affairs Minister, Mompati Merafhe applauded the students for being the first lot of Batswana to be sponsored by the Australian government to study the health sciences.
