A case in which former Broadhurst senior magistrate, Shavirai Mawere is suing former Molepolole principal magistrate, Nehemiah Mugoni for P250,000 will continue tomorrow.

The lawsuit comes after Mugoni wrote to the Judicial Service Commission and Registrar of the High Court recommending they not renew Mawere's contract. In the letter Mugoni was complaining that Mawere had been applying delay tactics in his handling of cases so government could extend his contract.

When the case commenced last week, Mawere informed the court that his attorney, Sam Motoruti, was indisposed to continue with the case. Judge Isaac Lesetedi then ordered Mawere to provide a medical certificate to show that indeed Mutoruti was ill, which Mawere did.
