Maun next for BMD rally

FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) will introduce the party to Batawana at its third rally since its formation, at Magotlho Freedom Square in Maun next Saturday.

So far, the party - whose leadership is made up mainly of defectors from the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) - has held two rallies since its inception, one in Francistown, another in Mochudi.

According to its interim regional chairman for Maun, Isa Phoi, the rally is aimed at winning the hearts and minds of many in Botswana's premier tourism region and make a lasting impression on the people of Ngamiland.
