Maun Man Up For Rape

FRANCISTOWN: A 22-year-old man of Boseja ward in Maun recently appeared before Chief Magistrate Faith Dlamini-Ngandu to face a single count of rape.

The State alleges that Sean Coetzee raped a 22-year-old woman on August 26, 2018 at Selepa in Francistown. The prosecutor in the matter, Tawana Kapongo told the court that they are still awaiting medical results from the police forensic laboratory in Gaborone. She also mentioned that there are no prospects of reconciliation between the parties.

When given the chance to speak, Coetzee asked the magistrate if he could be assisted with a legal representative, as he is unemployed.
