Matsetsenkane descend on Jwaneng

The Jwaneng Customary Court was full to capacity as the public came to have sight of the boys who allegedly stabbed a 32-year-old man who is currently battling for his life at the Jwaneng Mine hospital.
Superintendent Thuso Basuti revealed that they received an alarming number of criminal incidents during the weekend and they managed to arrest 35 suspects. One motorist had his tyre punctured before was attacked by the group who stabbed him with a sharp object whilst his passengers sustained injuries from stabbing. Their belongings were stolen in the process.
Despite legislative reforms and various initiatives aimed at curbing Gender-Based Violence (GBV), the situation remains dire.
