Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) president, Mokgweetsi Masisi went to Palapye for the retreat last weekend to cement his authority in the faction-ridden party and achieved just that.

That is if videos shot behind closed doors are anything to go by. In one video, which is 2:35 minutes long, he told the hall full of democrats from all over the country that he was no weakling.

Masisi reminded the party faithful that he still abided by the oath he took when he was sworn in as the fifth President of the Republic.
