Masisi challenges Khama to come home

Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) and State President Mokgweetsi Masisi has challenged former president Ian Khama to come back home and campaign freely for opposition parties.

When addressing the media today about his successes since he took over for the past five years, Masisi said his party and government have achieved a lot. This was the first address that Masisi did since the COVID-19 pandemic about the state of the party and other issues.

“I challenge the former president to come back and work hard for the opposition parties. We are going to win big in the coming elections. I will sort him out as he has never been before. At times I get embarrassed with what my former president says because he was also the president of this country,” Masisi said.
