Outgoing security chiefs, Lieutenant General Tebogo Masire of the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) and Thebeyame Tsimako of the Botswana Police Service (BPS), suffered the unusual dishonour of being moved from the top table by President Ian Khama's bodyguard at the official opening of the new High Court building at the Central Business District, Gaborone on Friday.

President Khama's bodyguard stopped the two men, as well as the current commissioner of Prisons, Connell Silas Motlalekgosi, as they readied to sit at the top table.

The bodyguard approached the two security chiefs and signalled what seemed to be communication that they should leave the seats. An argument involving the two security chiefs, the bodyguard, and Motlalekgosi ensued.
