The President's man: Masilo easily juggles between politics and the civil service

President Ian Khama’s close ally, Colonel Duke Masilo, who recently lost the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) primary elections for Gabane/Mmankgodi constituency, will soon join the civil service.

Masilo will join his former Ministry of Presidential Affairs and Public Administration as the head of the poverty eradication programme, a move that follows his resignation from the public service last year to join politics.

He will work hand in hand with the acting Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Shaw Kgathi.
