Maripe denies BDP card-for-land' allegations

FRANCISTOWN: Bitter confusion has erupted in the Francistown South constituency where residents have been told to fill in Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) membership forms in exchange for land.

Bahadzisi Maripe, a BDP political aspirant in the constituency, is at the center of the controversy.

Maripe wants to stand for the Francistown South seat, currently held by Khumongwana Maoto. Maoto says he has heard the accusations against Maripe and reported to the central committee.
