Man targets prosecutor on soccer rivalry

FRANCISTOWN: An accused person in a rape case has requested the prosecutor to recuse himself from the case because they play soccer together.

Moalosi Ramanganeng and Lapelo Tsheko, both 19 years of age, recently appeared for mention before Chief Magistrate Peggy Madandume on two charges of rape and attempted rape respectively.

After the charges were read out to the respondents, Ramanganeng said about the prosecutor, Mothusi Dintwa: "Every time we are on the field and I rough-tackle him, he tells me that we will meet in court. I think this man hates me, and I do not think he will be objective in this case".
