Man kills drinking mate, wounds others

Police in Letlhakane village are investigating an incident in which a 25-year-old man went bersek and stabbed four men while drinking traditional beer at a shebeen.

The station commander for Letlhakane, superintendent Michael Maphephu confirmed investigating the case, in which one of the wounded victims died.

“One of the victims who was in critical condition passed on Tuesday, while another has been discharged with two others in critical conditions in different hospitals. We don’t know what could have caused the misunderstanding between the accused and the victims,” said Maphephu.
