Man dies in hit-and-run on Good Friday

The victim had just disembarked from a combi and was attempting to cross the road facing towards the village when he was hit by a speeding Mercedes Benz.

No.13 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Obusitswe Lokae said the accident was reported around 7:25pm.

"We have launched a probe to locate and arrest the driver who failed to stop after hitting him.

"The victim was rushed to Bokamoso Private Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries at around 11pm," he said.

Police are appealing to members of the public who may have witnessed the accident or have any information that could assist in locating the vehicle or the driver to come forward.
