Man admits killing girlfriend over cheating claim

FRANCISTOWN: A man has admitted to killing his girlfriend in 2015 at Extension 7 in Palapye because he suspected her of cheating him with another man. Dimpho Gaseitsiwe, (32) admitted to killing Patricia Kgwediedule (26) on June 27, 2015 when summary of facts were read to him on Tuesday before Justice Lot Moroka.

During that fateful day, according to the facts, Gaseitsiwe and two of his friends were selling meat in Palapye using a donkey cart.

“The accused and his friends were drinking traditional beer called mokuru. Later at night they decided to go to a certain shebeen at Extension 7 for more alcohol and entertainment. At around 11pm they decided to go to home to sleep. On the way home, the accused parked his donkey cart at the place of one Onalethata Dikanono whom he suspected of dating Kgwediedule,” said the facts. Gaseitsiwe entered the home of Dikanono and he went to the room where Dikanono and Kgwediedule were sleeping.
