LOBATSE: When other Members of Parliament (MPs) were busy deliberating in the House yesterday, Shoshong MP Phillip Makgalemele was before Chief Justice Dibotelo Maruping pursuing a P2 million lawsuit against Yarona FM and its former employee MacDonald Chilliboy Rakgare.

Makgalemele, who is the former Botswana Football Association (BFA) president, would also have come face to face with his former employee and Under-23 coach Major David Bright fighting in Rakgare's corner.

The former BFA strongman is suing the radio station and the presenter for defamation following a broadcast in 2008, alleging that the MP was bribed in China where he had gone with the Under-23 football team for a tournament. The team lost only one game and won the tournament contested by hosts, China, Japan and South Korea.
