Gaborone Village Chief Magistrate, Lot Moroka, is expected to deliver a ruling tomorrow on whether to grant or deny bail to two suspects who have been remanded in custody in connection with P17 million fraud at Central Medical Stores (CMS).

Sierra Leone national Patrick Cole, Clement Molefe, Jabulani Johnson, Norman Maja, Aaron Babolele, Lebogang Kaisara, David Tumagole, Otsile Mosarwe, Jenamo Nfana and Bushi Nthibo have been charged with the theft of P17 million from CMS through three fraudulent transactions. They collectively face three charges of obtaining by false pretences.

While other suspects are out on bail, Cole, a director of USASA Construction Company based in South Africa, and his friend Molefe, have been languishing in jail pending trial.
Last week Thursday, the lawyer for the two, Dick Bayford, reopened the bail application arguing that the court could impose special sanctions to ensure that the suspects do not skip the country or interfere with investigations.
