Magama scores against BNF again

*Judge Tafa declares Magamas suspension null and void

The MP for Gaborone South, Akanyang Magama has once again scored an important victory against the Botswana National Front (BNF) after the Lobatse High Court lifted his suspension. The MP moved to court after the party he once served as secretary general suspended him. He wanted the suspension lifted and the BNF barred from instituting disciplinary action against him until the party has put in place proper arrangements to afford him a fair hearing. Magama beseeched the court to nullify the appointment of former MP, Mokgweetsi Kgosipula as BNF deputy secretary general because it was unlawful. He said that at the time of his appointment,  Kgosipula who re-defected to the party from Botswana Congress Party (BCP) had not met the three year  minimum  requirement as a BNF member.
