'Mafiosi' in the Mhlauli case

In the case that has all the hall marks of a mafia operation, the Gaborone Village Magistrate Court heard yesterday that a group of real estate developers allegedly set up a dummy case in order to delay construction at Eddie Norman's 'Riverwalk' site.

Delay at Riverwalk would facilitate easier development of the then 'Game City' complex which would attract potential tenants to the business complex, robbing Riverwalk of the chance to compete for them.

Kadimo Oremeng, an accomplice in the conspiracy who has turned state witness, revealed this when he was cross-examined by Advocate Francois Van Zyl.
