Low turn-out at Mogami rally

If the outcome of elections are determined by attendance at political rallies, then the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) parliamentary candidate for Gaborone Central, Kgomotso Mogami should not expect much.

Last Sunday, she addressed a poorly attended rally at Maruapula that revealed a lot about her campaign. Most  BDP council candidates did not come to the rally with one of them even walking away just before the end of the event. 

Most people who attended the rally were not from the constituency. They were ferried from other parts of the city. Prominent BDP members did not attend rally. The only 'top' BDP figure who appeared was Kagiso Molatlhegi, the parliamentary candidate for Gaborone South.
