Kgosikwena Sebele has called on public to respect and honour their chiefs in whatever they do.Addressing a well attended launch for Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) candidate Kgosi Lotlamoreng Montshiao II on Saturday, Sebele said it is time for the chiefs to stand up for their rights where they feel they could be heard better.

He said it is time for tribal leaders to contest for influential positions in the society.

“We need our tribes to stand with us since the government of today has made Bogosi to be irrelevant. What Lotlamoreng has done is not surprising at all. Different chiefs for different tribes had contested for political positions before and even now. Bangwato chief is the president of this country and Kgosi Tawana Moremi of Batawana is also in Parliament,” Sebele said.
