Local newspaper vanishes into thin air?

Mahube, a newspaper run by an alleged dubious Zimbabwean investor, Ignatius Musemburi, has vanished from the newsstands.

Earlier this year, the newspaper made headlines after it carried bogus job advertisements put up by some unknown "labour recruitment agency", which Musemburi was also running.

The adverts were placed as a collaboration project between Mahube and the recruitment agency. However, after Mmegi investigations, it emerged that the 100 vacancies were non-existent. One of the bogus advertisements was for cleaners at the National AIDS Coordinating Agency (NACA). But NACA officials denied ever placing vacancy adverts with any agency or newspaper. The owners of the newspaper confessed that it was an "over sight" by them to have placed the adverts, some of which were lifted from other publications. The newspaper also used NACA logos without authority.  Mahube pasted a Phakalane estate agency and the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) for one of the competitions that they were running.
